Property Manager

I am always very proud to say who I work for!

  • You could have chosen anywhere. Why Andrews?

The professional image that Andrews always portrays, as well as their reputation for looking after their staff. I did some research before applying for a job and all of the feedback from past and present staff members was excellent.

  • What do you tell people who ask what you do?

I am always very proud to say who I work for and my role always attracts questions when I tell people my job title. Unless a person has previously rented a property, they would not know about the role of a Property Manager, so I enjoy letting them know how involved the work is but also how satisfying it is.

  • If no two days are the same, what makes it special for you?

The daily challenges together with understanding how individuals work, both landlords and tenants. I like to try and ensure that all of the people involved in my Portfolio are treated in an efficient way, but learning how best they respond is always what I particularly enjoy.

I also love solving problems, whether that be with Maintenance or with personal issues which effect the paying of Property rent. These are challenges that we all face from time to time, however, how these difficult situations are handled can often made a big difference on the outcome and how people perceive Andrews and the services that we offer.

  • Give us your ‘Top 3’ favourite things about working for Andrews?
    1. Feeling part of how the company grows and moves forward
    2. Staff training
    3. General pride in the brand Andrews Property Group
  • What’s been your biggest achievement?

Moving from the role of Valuer and Sales Negotiator to taking over role of the Property Manager in the Bishopston branch. There had been some staffing issues in the branch and we wanted to create some stability and continuity for both landlords and tenants. I volunteered to take on the role to assist the branch for a period of time and I haven’t looked back. I moved after 18 months from Bishopston to the Downend branch and have enjoyed every minute of getting things right here.

  • What’s been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome this?

Maintaining our property base and ensuring that landlords do not need to look elsewhere for a Property Management Company. I enjoy having satisfied landlords and tenants and it is always great to receive a “Thank you”.

  • Tell us about the training and development.

I feel this is something to shout about and in my opinion, second to none in the industry.

Whatever your position is in the company and no matter how many years you have done the job for, we can always learn more and Andrews makes sure that we always have the latest training and it is delivered in a professional but enjoyable way.

  • How would you describe ‘The Spirit of Andrews’?

Driven to Succeed – with everyone being part of the journey.

  • What do you need to be successful at Andrews?

Drive and enthusiasm to match that of the company's, together with self-motivation to achieve the best you can within your role.

  • If you knew someone who was going to apply to Andrews, what would you say to them?

You won’t look back … join us on the journey to success.
