  • You could have chosen anywhere. Why Andrews?

    First of all, I love the fact that Andrews is owned by two charitable trusts, meaning there is a sense of integrity in the way they provide people with homes. Andrews has a good reputation for their conscience. I like their refreshingly reassuring approach, and since they were established in 1946, they are experienced within the property industry.

  • What do you tell people who ask what you do?

    The most straightforward way to explain it to people that don’t know what I do is that I am the person who would visit a property to advise landlords on how much they should be renting their property out for. 

  • If no two days are the same, what makes it special for you?

    I like the fact that when I wake up in the morning I don’t know what the day entails for me.

    Although I try and add a basic structure to my day, my focus changes daily, from looking at what has hit Rightmove and Zoopla overnight to taking photos and doing floorplans, contacting previous landlords, focusing on applicants or looking at what is needed to hit my targets for the month.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement?

    I came back to Andrews after travelling South East Asia and Australia at the end of March 2017, and within less than a year was promoted to Senior Lettings Negotiator.

  • What’s been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome this?

    I think initially one of my biggest challenges was confidence, but the more I have worked within the industry, the more I have seen myself develop and grow.

  • Tell us about the training and development.

    The training and development at Andrews is fantastic. I would say my favourite course so far has been the ‘At the property' course. I think that it is a course that is useful to anyone office based in a sales and lettings environment, although I had quite a lot of experience as a negotiator it gave me the insight and expertise I needed to become a great valuer.

  • How would you describe ‘The Spirit of Andrews’?

    I would describe the spirit of Andrews as get up and go. Everyone works really hard, yet has a real energy and buzz about property, which I think just reinforces how passionate we all are about our jobs.

  • What do you need to be successful at Andrews?

    You definitely need to work hard and stay focused. It can be a challenging role especially with an unpredictable market at times, but you have to set yourself goals and if you work hard you will see the reward.

  • If you knew someone who was going to apply to Andrews, what would you say to them?

    I would say you need to be a hard worker, organised and be prepared to work in a sales based environment.
