  • You could have chosen anywhere. Why Andrews?

    I love the fact that Andrews is a well-known Estate Agent and the charitable trust factor really helped me in making my decision. Giving back to national and local charities re-iterates the company ethos and that is something that is important to me.

  • What do you tell people who ask what you do?

    Firstly I tell them that I absolutely love what I do. I help people finance their property purchase every day in what can be, a minefield of options to our customers. I also provide valuable protection to the many people and families I meet along the way. This can be in the form of life insurance, income protection and buildings and contents insurance.

  • If no two days are the same, what makes it special for you?

    I love the diverse client base that I speak with. It could be an experienced landlord looking to increase their property portfolio or a first time buyer who needs a hand holding through the house buying process. It really draws on the vast experience I bring to Andrews Mortgage Services and knowledge that I love to share with my clients.

  • Give us your ‘Top 3’ favourite things about working for Andrews?
    1. The people. The support I have is amazing and I do feel like a valued member of my team and also of the wider company.
    2. The charitable trust. I am involved in mentoring for the 16-25 independent people project that ties in with our establish programme. I truly value the experience that it has given and continues to give me.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement?

    I have had several major achievements since starting with Andrews. Being a continuous high achiever within Andrews Mortgage Services has been a highlight. I have also had valuable input into the setting up of the new Andrews Property Centre which opened in September 2017, which continues to go from strength to strength. I have also become a mentor for our establish programme which is attaining 50 houses in 50 years near to our local branches to help young people leaving care.

  • What’s been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome this?

    Being a Market Adviser was tough to start off with. So many lenders, so much criteria and so many products. It took a while to really embed myself into the role and gain confidence. I did however finish within the top three advisers on risk business in my first year though, and that was through the support network that I had within Andrews.

  • Tell us about the training and development

    Financial services is changing all the time so the training is constant. New legislation has to be adhered to and Andrews Mortgage Services supervisors and trainers have helped me to learn, analyse, develop and grow within my role.

  • What do you need to be successful at Andrews?

    A willingness to learn and a can do attitude. Andrews creates the environment to build on those foundations and the rest is really up to you.
